“The Journey of Humanity” will be around the size of two football fields at 1,980-sq-m. Contemporary British artist Sacha Jafri stands on his record-breaking painting entitled 'The Journey of Humanity' in Dubai. The painting, which measures the size of two football fields, can be seen at a hotel in Dubai, where Jafri spent months of lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. The gigantic artwork is part of his project 'Humanity Inspired', and with it, he hopes to raise 30 million USD to fund health and education initiatives for children living in poverty worldwide. 

The project is being supported by more than 100 influential public figures across the globe, including the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), together with The Global Gift Foundation and the UAE Government – to connect people post the COVID-19 pandemic in order to tackle the devastating impact of the virus on children and youth.

The massive creation is ‘the world’s largest painting to have ever been created on canvas’, and is set to break the official record for ‘The Largest Art Canvas’ in the world. The finished creation is set to be revealed at Atlantis The Palm in November, 2020, and will then be projected onto the UAE’s most iconic landmarks, and housed in the world’s leading museums.

"Humanity Inspired aims to be a catalyst for true social change through the hearts, minds, and souls of the children of the world. Through this initiative, we seek to connect the world and reconnect ourselves with humanity. My painting, "The Journey of Humanity" will support the delivery of improved education and connectivity. It will also raise funds to support the poorest and most deprived regions in order to help children and families around the world."

Humanity Inspired” is one of the first projects of its kind to be endorsed by more than 100 global public figures including Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, American actress Eva Longoria, US-Indian author Deepak Chopra, English model Brooklyn Beckham, British comedian David Walliams, French footballer Kylian Mbappe, Iraqi-American makeup artist Huda Kattan, US musician Nile Rodgers, and Belgian-Canadian singer Lara Fabian.
