His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has shared videos and photos of the Museum of the Future all lit up. The Dubai Ruler posted on Twitter that he had witnessed the moment when the last piece of its stunning facade was placed.

This signals the start of the final phase of construction. Photos he shared showed the iconic structure on the Sheikh Zayed Road with its Arabic calligraphy exterior all lit up.

"I reviewed the installation of the final piece of the Museum of the Future, one of the most iconic landmarks in the world. Covering an area of 30,000sqm, the seven-storey column-less marvel stands at 77m high, with 1,024 Arabic calligraphy panels on the façade manufactured by robots," the Dubai Ruler tweeted.

He said the museum represents a "unique architectural and engineering marvel" that celebrates human ingenuity and an indication that mankind is capable of building a better future. "The museum will explore the future trends and opportunities in science, technology and innovation. By making Dubai a testbed for emerging technologies, our aim is not merely to build another architectural marvel, but to build the foundation of tomorrow."

Sheikh Mohammed said the museum "speaks Arabic and combines our Arab authenticity with our global ambitions".

Referring to the area that hosts the unmissable structure, he said: "With the addition of the Museum of the Future alongside Emirates Towers and the Dubai International Financial Centre, this area will be the most innovative and influential region in the future industry and driving sustainability and development."

The structure pushes the limits in architectural design and adds to Dubai's skyline one of the most complex projects to date.
He noted that the museum gained international fame before its opening thanks to its unique design, and will be the title of urban excellence when it opens.

During the visit, Dubai Crown Prince and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Dubai Future Foundation, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, affirmed that Dubai and the UAE will continue on the path of creativity in various fields. "We are working according to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid ... Always seeking excellence and leadership. Today we stand before one of the most innovative buildings in the world. A testament to Dubai and the UAE's leadership in creative design, engineering, and architectural uniqueness.

"We are creating the future and developing future strategies that will mark the industry of the future. Our goal is to adopt new models for future governments by bringing about a comprehensive change in the system of governments, relying on our young national cadres who are able to take responsibility and turn challenges into opportunities."
